I want to help people overcome their fear of uncertainty. The fear of not being good enough, capable enough, smart enough to succeed in the pursuit of their life goals. Uncertainty about our future, our careers, our loved ones, uncertainty about our position in life and our own sense of self-worth can be extraordinarily debilitating. We are often isolated by these thoughts, repeating the same hurtful, debilitating monologue in the chambers of our minds. We become such experts at hurting ourselves, and allowing ourselves to be hurt, that we do this without even being consciously aware of it most of the time. There's a way out.
In my therapy sessions, we’ll work to examine attitudes, beliefs, thoughts – the way we think about events and the meanings we give to them. We will examine how they directly affect how we feel and behave. REBT is the only cognitive-behavioral therapy that encourages people to examine their philosophy of life.
From the very first session, we work together to solve the ambivalence. It is understandable that when it comes to our motivation to change, we have our ups and our downs. We will work through the resistance at your own pace and achieve the goals you set out for yourself. You will begin developing the necessary tools to become the person you are ready to be.
