Great to meet you!

I have been a counselor for over 20 years. My clients describe me as down-to-earth, genuine, and very easy to talk to. I understand that getting started in counseling is not easy and I do my best to put you at ease...no judgment.

I am amazed at how well clients have adjusted to meeting remotely. I am actually able to connect with my clients in a more personal, more relaxed way because they are in the comfort of their own homes and sometimes I even get to meet their pets while we talk!

A bit about my approach to therapy

I do not have one rigid way in which I work with my clients. I adjust based on your needs. I tend to lean towards client-focused, strength-based style and use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques. I enjoy helping clients identify negative thought patterns and form new ways of thinking. This leads to changes in feelings. My goal is to help clients gain the coping skills to make the changes they want in their life.

What you can expect from our first session

Our first session will be about gathering history and learning about your goals for therapy. All counseling sessions will offer a safe, open, and non-judgmental atmosphere where you can feel at ease. I believe that building trust and having mutual respect is key.
