Hello! I’m a psychotherapist based in Brooklyn Heights and Union Square currently accepting new clients, with both weekday and weekend availability. My focus is on helping college-aged and young adult New Yorkers build more balanced and meaningful lives by working through anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and difficulties within school, work, and relationships. With a background in gender studies, I’m especially equipped to help those grappling with issues related to gender, sexuality, and body image. I also have an abiding interest in the arts and experience helping creatives.

My approach is supportive and collaborative, with room for lightness and humor. I tailor sessions to each individual, incorporating techniques for managing stress and practicing self-care, strategies for coping with strong emotions and difficult experiences, and tools for building healthy relationships and improving communication patterns.

Finding a therapist with whom you feel comfortable is paramount, and to that end, I offer free 15-minute phone consultations. If you're interested in scheduling a free consultation or a full session, please reach out via phone or send me a secure message by copying and pasting this link into a new window: https://sendsafe.to/mollyheimlcsw@gmail.com
