I believe that the exploration of self, within the context and safety of the therapeutic relationship, can be a catalyst for change and growth. Change can feel nearly impossible when dealing with issues such as anxiety, depression, addiction, body image, or relationship concerns. I provide a safe environment, along with humor and warmth, so that you can gain coping skills and move through what can feel like roadblocks. Through the use of person-centered, CBT, and mindfulness techniques, I can assist you in changing negative thoughts or behaviors and processing past trauma so that your life looks more like how you envisioned it.
I received my degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at The Ohio State University, ranked #1 by U.S. News and World Report. I work with individuals of all ages but I am specifically trained in addressing the needs of adolescents and emerging adults, ranging from identity development, alcohol and drug experimentation/abuse, and general life stressors.
I understand that taking the first step can be scary but I am here to support you. Please feel free to contact me by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone to set up a time to meet. "We repeat what we do not repair" - Christine Langley-Obaugh www.meredithbeardmoretherapy.com
