Great to meet you!

My name is Melva. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, wife, mother, and an emotional support pet owner. It is my goal to work with each and every client on their own personal journey of self discovery. To make therapy less anxiety provoking and more enjoyable, my counseling style is naturally laid back yet professional. I have been described as supportive, caring, and compassionate, while having good insight and a pretty good sense of humor.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I like to focus on identifying your strengths and helping you to maximize them to overcome your obstacles. I'm here to help you sort through the things that are difficult right now and offer you a safe place to be open and honest without fear of judgment. I endeavor to assist you to navigate and organize your thought process to promote clarity and healing.

What you can expect from our first session

I always start with an introductory session where you’ll have the opportunity to share your story and what you hope to achieve in and from therapy. As a disclaimer, it is standard practice that a $75 fee is charged for no shows (I will wait 10 minutes for your session) or for sessions not cancelled within 24 hours so please reschedule your session as soon as possible.

To schedule a session to occur from Monday to Friday between 4pm to 7pm, please send a message through the Headway.

Thank you.
