Great to meet you!

Thriving Through Connection Counseling, PLLC.

I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas for 5 years. I received my MS in Counseling Psychology from Tarleton State University. Prior to becoming a Counselor, I worked in social work, primary working with under-privileged families and abused/neglected children. I enjoy helping adults better understand themselves, have deeper connection with others going through life transitions or explore and understand their trauma history.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My role as a Counselor is to provide therapeutic guidance, support and positivity to facilitate an environment for change. I am able to work with adults of all ages. I have experience working with individuals to overcome and change problems with depression, anxiety, self-esteem, perfectionism, relationships, life transitions and developmental trauma.

What you can expect from our first session

During our sessions, I will help you explore what’s going on inside and become more connected with yourself. This includes exploration of trauma history, awareness of your body’s experiences/sensations, increasing emotion regulation skills, mindfulness and identifying strengths to create a feeling of contentment in the present moment. In our sessions, we will work together to create obtainable goals for improvement, while using trauma informed, somatic (body-based)and client-centered techniques.
