Headway

Melissa

I believe that a positive and genuine therapeutic relationship is essential to successful treatment. My empathetic nature fosters an authentic and trusting therapeutic alliance with my clients, creating a supportive and nonjudgmental environment for each individual. I am passionate and dedicated to working with my clients to develop tools and find ways to help each of them lead happier and more satisfying lives. I use a range of therapeutic modalities to help clients explore their past, to better understand their present situation, and to develop specific skills to reach their goals and to improve their overall quality of life.

I utilize a holistic approach and tailor treatment interventions to meet each individual's needs. I specialize in treating children, adolescents, as well as young adults who suffer from Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Addictions, Eating Disorders, ADHD, and Relational Issues. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Applied Behavioral Analysis.

As a therapist, it is my hope that my clients leave each session with a clearer understanding of themselves, relief from distressing symptoms, and with an increased confidence to cope with various life stressors. Emotional and behavioral change is possible, and I am here to help my clients on their journey of change and healing.
