Deciding to come to therapy can be a difficult decision; one that takes courage and often comes with some anxiety and ambiguity about what the process will entail. I consider empathy, sympathy, and honesty are the key elements to a nurturing and successful therapeutic relationship. I’ve spent the last 4 years training and working with clients at institutions such as New York Presbyterian, New York University and Cornell Medical College.
My specialties and areas of interest include anxiety, depression, mood disorders, relationships, PTSD and behavioral changes. I use an integrated dynamic approach to therapy, informed by mindfulness, relaxation techniques, motivational interviewing, and cognitive therapies.
It is important for you to feel comfortable with me; my main goal is to help you understand why you are feeling the way you are feeling. I am a believer in the ability to change. I want to offer you a safe space to build your strengths through a warm, interactive and practical individual therapy.
