Thank you for your interest in finding out more about me. I hope you will decide that we will be a "good fit" and that you want to work together.
I think the self-knowledge gained from therapy is a true gift. It's an opportunity and investment that can never be taken from you. It will never lose its' value. If you have the time and resources to engage in this "journey," go for it! You'll only move forward. I say that from personal experience.
I am "for real," a warm, caring, compassionate, advanced practice nurse. I have worked in many areas and roles in the mental health field for 40 years. Online telehealth psychotherapy is my favorite and I still love what I do. I don't prescribe medication. I do "talk therapy" only, using a variety of evidence based techniques. Treatment is collaborative and individualized to you and what you need.
On a personal level, maybe you’d like to know that I have life experience as a daughter, mother, aunt, colleague, wife, life partner, ex, friend, and sister – and not necessarily all at the same time or with the same person. 😉 I've had an interesting life, have traveled (and still plan to) travel a lot. No worries. We will be able to connect, no matter where I am. I always make sure I am able to work online wherever I go. I have lived in 4 countries. If you're looking for a therapist who has an all-encompassing inclusive world view and "thinks out of the box," that would be me.
Although I enjoy working with people, ALL people and ages, I have expertise in women’s mental health issues, Especially related to prenatal/postpartum mood and anxiety disorders, relationships, narcissistic personalities, highly sensitive people, perfectionism, BPD, disordered eating/body image, stress, coping, and life transitions. I also love working with my fellow nurses, college students, digital nomads, and travelers with all of their unique concerns. Not all therapists enjoy working with kids and teens, but I do. My master's in nursing is in child/adolescent mental health psychiatry.
"Every journey begins with the first step." You have a story to tell, and I'd like to listen.
Oh, and if you need to schedule a different time than you see here, contact me and I will do my best to accommodate the time and day that you need.
I look forward to speaking with you soon. Be well!
