In a world full of unpredictability, change, and painful experiences, we all struggle. In the face of the many factors that are out of our control, understanding ourselves is critical to taking ownership over our own lives and well-being. As a therapist, I can help you to: acclimate during/after major life transitions or trauma, recognize and change patterns that aren’t working for you, and identify coping skills. I am especially passionate about helping young people with: exploring their identities, developing self-acceptance and compassion, and cultivating a fulfilling life.
My background is in working with adolescents and adults. My approach is eclectic. I draw on psychodynamic theory to help you explore the significance of earlier life experiences as well as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and solutions-focused approaches to help you identify concrete steps you can take to make life changes.
At this time, I am providing tele-therapy services to clients all over New York state. If you are interested in learning more, please email me and we can discuss setting up a free phone consultation to see if this is a good fit. I use she/her pronouns.
