I provide individual psychotherapy to adolescents and adults. Broadly speaking my orientation is psychodynamic, but I’m not a big fan of orthodoxy or reverence and I’m reluctant to assume an affiliation that defines me. I’m a native New Yorker, a humanist with a pragmatic bent, and ardent Knick fan, and currently living in Brooklyn. I seek to be my genuine self as a therapist, friend, loved one and traveler. Should you decide to work with me, we will look at your life together and focus on what what is important. Our work together will be meaningful and vibrant. My work can be present focused and involve problem solving and I am also comfortable looking back at your life helping you to better understand patterns of relating and communicating that are impacting all important aspects of your life, including therapy. Feelings are essential, and cannot be excluded from life or therapy. I love to look at dreams, but certainly don’t require that you share them with me.

My office is located conveniently located in Union Square on 5th Avenue between 16th and 17th Street. Please email me or call if you would like to discuss the possibility of working together.
