Laura is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, originally from Colombia and is Bilingual (Spanish/English). A graduate of UT Arlington’s Bachelors and Masters Programs in Social Work. Laura has experience working in inpatient and outpatient behavioral health settings.

A bit about my approach to therapy

In addition to working with pregnant teenagers, her passion and experience is working with young adults and adults dealing with Anxiety, Depression, Trauma and low self-esteem. Laura’s preferred treatment modalities are Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Solution Focus Therapy and Motivational Interview therapy.

What you can expect from our first session

Laura’s desire is to provide a safe space to explore and strengthen the sense of self, while facing challenging situations. Laura teaches self-compassion as a center point in therapy. Laura is passionate and empathetic in her role and loves to help those in need.
