Dr. LaShawn Gooden obtained her Doctorate degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis, Minnesota and completed an APA accredited internship with the United States Navy. Additionally, she holds a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Towson University (MD). Areas of interest include: anxiety, depression, couples therapy, multicultural concerns, LGBTQ+ concerns, and identity.

A bit about my approach to therapy

Dr. Gooden's approach to therapy integrates multicultural orientation with cognitive behavioral approaches to assist clients in living their best lives by working towards change and growth, as well as supplying them with tools to help them understand how to effectively navigate through their lives.
