As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), people come talk to me for a variety of reasons. Some want to develop new approaches to life and relationships, some are struggling with substance use and other forms of addiction, some are in a state of transition, and some are trying to move away from unhealthy patterns such as depression and anxiety. Many are couples coping with relational issues who want to grow emotionally and improve communication. For whatever reason you come to me, my aim as a therapist is to help you create a better, more fulfilling life by understanding yourself better and building upon your innate strengths.
My approach is collaborative and engaged. I try to create a safe, non-judgmental space for your process to unfold. For me, actively joining a client in the exploration, discovery and recovery that takes place in the therapy room is an essential component in building trust and comfort. One of my core beliefs is that is crucial to meet clients where they are in their process, whether they are coping with ambivalence around relationships or substance use or attachment challenges, and to help them achieve their journey to discover and achieve their personal goals. I look forward to working with you!
