I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in New York City. I specialize in individual and couples psychotherapy. I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work from Hunter College and completed post-graduate training at the Stephen Mitchell Center for Relational Studies. Additionally, I received a Juris Doctor degree from Brooklyn Law School and practiced in the areas of alternative dispute resolution and mediation.
I aim to create a space that allows you to feel safe, supported and challenged. My style is interactive and dynamic, incorporating an awareness of the past with a focus on the present. I see my ongoing role as a collaborator, helping you to uncover the difficult and stuck spaces in order to live a more authentic, enjoyable and functional life.
I believe that the therapy relationship has the ability to provide healing, growth and change. Finding a therapist who helps you feel safe, supported and challenged is central to this process. My style is warm and curious as well as direct and challenging. I am an active participant in the process as we seek out the hard and stuck places that get in the way of balance and meaningful relationships. I help people dealing with a range of issues and concerns, including work and career stress, relationship issues and difficult life transitions. I have extensive experience working with individuals and couples dealing with anxiety, depression, fertility, gender identity, grief, low self-esteem, addiction recovery, sexuality and trauma. I work with adults of all ages and backgrounds. Please contact me by phone or email so we can see if working together might be a good fit.
