As a therapist, I gained extensive experience in issues people struggle with daily including trauma; depression/anxiety; addictions; relational; and interpersonal (self- worth/belief; negative and conditioned thoughts). When individuals attain self-betterment skills, they become empowered to change their lives. With change, decisions become less fear-based, stress becomes manageable, and a more peaceful, fulfilling existence is created. For nothing can change unless you decide to change it. Life goals are reached when individuals connect and form a supportive client/therapist relationship. I am passionate about helping people and getting them to a place of both internal and peace.
My specialties include cognitive behavior therapy; EMDR therapy; anger management; addictive personalities; anxiety, depression; unresolved past issues; interpersonal struggles; and relationship issues. I work toward treating the underlying cause and symptoms. If people are given life skills along with unconditional support and acceptance, they can use these tools as a catalyst toward their change.
I'm trained in EMDR and Progressive Counting. On several occasions, I participated in a local CBS news affiliate on their "Bully Project" and did presentations in the community. I've done groups on meditation; and managing stress; a training for college students pursuing a counseling career. My counseling approach is direct, open, and honest.
