Great to meet you!

Clients describe my style as relaxed and conversational. I have extensive experience with CBT, DBT, and Self Compassion therapy models and my focus is sharing strategies from these models in clear and uncomplicated ways. I focus on building a relationship with my clients so they feel safe to talk about what's going on without throwing a bunch of clinical jargon at them. This can be tough work, my goal is to provide a meaningful experience and help you figure things out.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I believe everyone should have the choice to process at their own pace and which skills they will build to help. I have resources that I can share, we can review these skills in session that can be used to address the issues you want to face. I have experience and knowledge in this field, but the client is the expert in what they want to work on and how they want to do that. I'm here to listen and facilitate that plan.

What you can expect from our first session

In the first session we work on gathering information that focuses on getting to know what in your life has brought you to this point. If we don't finish the intake in the first session, that's okay. That means we really got to talking which is what we are here for. I hope to answer any questions you may have and build rapport for the work we are going to do together.
