As mentioned, I am a licensed mental health counselor with two and a half years of counseling experience. I have been working towards perfecting my skills and finding new techniques for reducing symptoms of anxiety, depression, and concerns with life transitions. I have a background in addressing concerns involving family dynamics, children with behavioral and attention deficits, adolescents with social, academic, and esteem concerns, and overall, individuals who are experiencing an unbalanced quality of life. My approach tends to fluctuate based on the demands of my clients. It may sometimes portray as more solution-focused or person centered (meaning, there may be days where you just need someone to listen and nothing else). Whatever it may be, please rest assured that you will always be in the driver's seat. These will be YOUR sessions. I am just there to facilitate and act as a support, guide and companion throughout the journey.
I believe heavily in growth and healing. It's easy to fall into the thinking trap that "things will never change" but with the right set of tools, consistency and accountability, we can all be set up to win. I also work from a nonjudgemental background and I'm open to new ideas, especially from my clients. At the end of the day, we are all human before anything else - learning from each other can be the best fuel for success in life.
