I believe in the the co-created experience of therapy between therapist and client. I have significant training and experience with a range of therapeutic models including Narrative therapy, Trauma-informed care, Solution-focused therapy, etc. I believe people at times come to therapy when parts of life are not feeling in line with desires/intentions for how they want their experience to be. I believe in the power and safety of therapeutic conversations to acknowledge and witness problems affecting clients (children, individuals, couples, families, etc) and together explore new possibilities which fit the person/couple/family.
It is my hope to partner with clients in ways which allow them to feel known and understood. Together we can look at problems having an impact, while allowing space to be in touch with one’s skills/knowledge which may be valuable in clients taking action on their own behalf.
I work with a range of clients of different ages and backgrounds - children, families, individuals and couples. Whether working on everyday communication, self-care, navigating effects of trauma, and/or increasing connections in intimate relationships, I work to provide client-centered therapy grounded in social justice and relational ethics.
