About My Clients
My therapeutic approach is to provide support and counseling to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. I work from a collaborative, strengths-based approach; assisting and supporting clients to be the author of their own lives. I work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, disruptive behaviors, relationship challenges, self-esteem, and trauma.
My Background and Approach
My therapeutic approach is to use a compassionate, culturally sensitive, client-centered, and strength-based approach to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. My experience is working with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, disruptive behaviors, relationship challenges, self-esteem, and trauma. I use an eclectic mix of modalities to meet each client’s unique needs. These include; Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Strengths-Based, Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Dialectic Behavioral Therapy. I am a licensed bilingual clinical therapist, fluent in English and Spanish. I have a Master’s degree in Social Work from Hunter College School of Social Work and over 18 years of experience across a variety of settings. My experience is treating children, adolescents, adults and the geriatric population.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I enjoy traveling listening to music, watching movies and spending time with my family and friends. Life can be challenging! I believe that clients are the authors of their own lives and therapy is a safe place to grow, learn and achieve shared goals. I work collaborative with my clients to assist them build on their existing strengths.
