I know how anxiety provoking and intimidating it can be to make the choice to engage in therapy. Let me start off by saying that not only are you brave for doing so, but you are making one of the best decisions of your life. Think about it - you are looking to talk to someone who is non-judgmental, unbiased, and empathetic - all things you are likely unable to get from someone you may know personally. Maybe you just need some guidance or validation, or maybe you want to learn better ways to manage your every day stressors. Perhaps you are going through a hard time and need some extra support and reassurance that everything is going to be okay. Well, whatever it may be, know that I’m here to welcome you with open arms. My goal is to support you in any way I can. Allow me to work with you collaboratively to develop goals that are attainable for YOU. That’s right - you’re the priority. I’m just here to guide you through this journey called life.

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor serving adults with various mental health issues, I’ve helped a vast majority of people better manage their every day symptoms and stressors. I utilize a strengths-based and person-centered approach, which allows me to pull skills and strengths from within you to get through whatever problems you may be experiencing. I also utilize various techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, mindfulness, and provide psychoeducation.

Aside from being an LMHC, I am working towards my CASAC (Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor). Once certified, I will be able to provide direct clinical care services and substance use disorder counseling, which happens to be one of my favorite and most valuable experiences as an intern. Another benefit of my clinical experience thus far is my ability to work closely with a psychiatrist, which is where I’ve had the pleasure of learning a lot about how medication impacts one’s wellness and overall recovery.

I’m hopeful that you will feel supported and empowered after speaking with me and I look forward to hearing from you!
