Life has many challenges, and we live in a world that tends to make us feel abnormal if we aren't happy all of the time. Psychotherapy provides an opportunity to heal and accept ourselves. Maybe you are feeling out of balance with the pressures of work and/ or personal relationships. Maybe anxiety and stress are causing you to lose sleep, feel depressed and/or to act out with excessive behaviors such as drinking too much or overeating. Maybe you can't control or stop a behavior that causes you shame or regret.

I believe the most important speciality I can offer is the gift of listening without judgment. My areas of practice include: addiction/substance abuse, codependency, anxiety, relationships, depression, career stressors, grief and chronic pain/illness.

I am an experienced psychodynamic therapist who believes in using talk therapy, mindfulness, humor and skilled interventions within therapy sessions. I have overcome challenging life experiences, including childhood cancer and addiction issues, that have deepened my ability to more fully relate to my clients.
