I believe therapy can provide a path to relieving distress and gaining invaluable self awareness. I offer my patients a safe space through which they can better understand their feelings and experiences and learn to develop skills to cope with stressors. I work predominantly as an insight-oriented therapist, understanding how the past elucidates present difficulties. I also help patients examine problematic patterns of thought or behavior when relevant. I believe in a collaborative approach to treatment, developing individualized goals with patients and regularly checking-in about they are experiencing the process of therapy. My treatment specialities include but are not limited to working with depression and anxiety, relationship difficulties, issues confronted in early adulthood, identity issues, gender and sexuality, abuse and trauma, grief, low self-esteem/acceptance, and life transitions as related to older adulthood. I work with individuals and couples.
