Great to meet you!

I work towards meeting clients with compassion, curiosity, and openness. Trust and felt safety are important components of the counseling relationship. I will work with you to meet your needs and goals through a variety of therapeutic modalities. I am certified in EMDR, and I can aid clients in processing through distressing past or present issues/events. If OCD is a concern, I am trained in I-CBT. www.violacounselingllc.com

A bit about my approach to therapy

Using a client centered approach, I can help you uncover the reasons for seeking counseling and help you build resources, skills, and even process past negative events. We cannot control what has happened to us in the past, but we can work towards healing the past to have a more hopeful and healthy future.

What you can expect from our first session

When working together, you will develop a deeper understanding of your story, why you do the things you do, build perspective, learn skills and strategies, deepen positive feelings and experiences, and process through past negative events.
