Headway

Jeffery

As a licensed mental health counselor, my approach is warm, friendly, and client-centered. I believe that the relationship between the client and the therapist is the most important part of the therapeutic journey. I pride myself on being able to get a good sense of my clients and who they are individually in order to develop a strong therapeutic alliance. I am empathic and validating, but I am also skilled in challenging unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors that may be getting in the way of living one's best life.

With 14 years of experience in the mental health field and 5 years of experience as a practicing psychotherapist, my clinical experience is diverse. I have worked with individuals suffering from depression, trauma, substance use and other addictions, anxiety, adjustment issues, grief & loss, sexual abuse, and LGBTQ issues. I utilize a trauma-informed approach, blending aspects of cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, psychodynamic, and mindfulness therapies. I provide therapy to clients across the lifespan: children, adolescents, and adults. We are offering teletherapy/telehealth (video conferencing or phone sessions).
