Great to meet you!

Hola! My name is Janette. Along with mental wellness, I am passionate about social justice. Being a first-generation American, Latina, and a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I strive to provide a safe and welcoming therapeutic space for people from underrepresented communities.

A bit about my approach to therapy

While respecting the emotions of my clients and the challenges they face, I use humor in my practice with a gentle approach. I avoid taking myself too seriously and find that self-compassion and laughter can be incredibly healing.

My typical clients are young to middle-aged adults from QTPOC/BIPOC communities with a history of trauma, relationship troubles, anxiety, depression, and issues with self-esteem and confidence.

What you can expect from our first session

After the first session, I want you to feel hopeful about the significant step you took. Over time, we'll explore and heal old wounds that may be affecting your present, creating a better understanding, more profound love, and greater appreciation for who you are today. We'll tune into your body where trauma is often held and work together to enhance your problem-solving skills, fine-tune your thinking patterns, learn from mistakes with compassion, and set goals that empower you along the way.

Janette's style is

Humorous
Empowering
