Sleep is essential to our wellbeing, yet so many people struggle to get the sleep that they need. I have spent the last decade treating adults and teens suffering from insomnia and other sleep disorders using a short-term, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy protocol that has proven results. Unlike sleep-aid medication, this treatment addresses the underlying causes of sleep disturbance, resulting in long-lasting improvement in sleep and overall mental health.

Approximately half of the patients I work with do not list sleep as a primary complaint. I work with adults who are struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, and issues related to identity using CBT and longer-term, insight-oriented (psychodynamic) therapy.

I also provide sleep consultations and coaching to parents of babies and toddlers. My book, The Good Sleeper: The Essential Guide to Sleep for Your Baby (and You) is available on my website, in stores, and at online booksellers. My website, www.nycsleepdoctor.com, includes full details about my work and background.
