Jamie Cullen

I have experience working with both chemical and process addictions, specifically their root in trauma, and am passionate about helping individuals enter and maintain recovery, utilizing therapy, psychoeducation, and community supports.

I believe that anyone can change anything in their lives, as long as they have the desire to do so, openness to gain insight in therapy, and willingness to take action once insight is gained. I work hard to build relationships with clients that are based on authenticity, respect, and unconditional positive regard, while utilizing a cognitive-behavioral perspective.

I specialize in working with clients in a variety of stages of change, from “I’m being forced to be here” to “I’m ready to dive in!” While most of my experience and training is in trauma, I realize that human beings are made up of mind, body, and spirit, and I'm comfortable tackling any issue that presents in therapy.

By working with me, you can expect an approach that is direct yet empathic, non-judgmental, holistic, and individually attuned to each client’s personality, identified needs, and past history.
