Great to meet you!

I received a Master's of Education in Community Counseling from Seattle University, followed by additional coursework in substance use treatment. I am a mental health counselor licensed in Washington and Oregon, with experience working with adults of all ages and identities, in a range of settings, since 2016. I especially love working with clients who are motivated to explore issues such as anxiety, obsessions and compulsions, identity, and healthy relationships.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I have specific training in evidence-based treatments, and I like to pepper in concepts and skills from a wide variety of clinical styles. First and foremost, I am a client-centered therapist, which means that I draw on various therapy styles and skills flexibly, in order to best serve your individual needs. I will always endeavor to hold compassionate, non-judgmental space for you, while simultaneously challenging you in service of your goals.

What you can expect from our first session

I view therapy as an expedition of discovery, with you as the leader and navigator. I'm like the tracker or the interpreter - my role is to support you and to help you make sense of what we discover together. The benefits of therapy depend largely on your willingness to do the work. There are no miracle cures. I can't promise that your behavior or circumstances will change. I can promise to support you and do my very best to understand you and the patterns that show up in your life.
