Sex therapists work with individuals or couples on improving sexual functioning and satisfaction. We understand that sexual issues are often the result of both physical and emotional factors. At Maze, sex therapy is a unique, cutting edge, collaborative model that integrates the medical, emotional, and behavioral components of treating sexual dysfunction - all under one roof. Painful intercourse, low desire and issues with arousal or orgasm can reflect problems in a relationship, with self-esteem or shame, a hormone imbalance, a reaction to medication, or various other medical factors.

While sex therapy can be helpful in addressing sexual dysfunction, a sex therapist is unable to medically rule out medical factors, perform an exam, or prescribe medication. Months can be wasted in sex therapy trying to "get to the bottom" of a medical issue that has an evidence-based treatment.

Our unique, holistic approach enables our team to look at everything that's going on, including all physical and psychological factors, and work with you to develop a treatment plan that not only brings you relief, but pleasure and excitement in your sex life
