Hello! Here's a little about me: I earned my Social Work Masters at The University of NH and received my Telehealth certification from The Zur Institute. I was trained in EMDR in 2018 and use it to address trauma and chronic pain along with other types of therapies. Stress can be tricky and mysterious in many ways.
Think of problems as adverse life experiences, big or small. When we have a bad day, go to bed, wake up feeling better in the morning, our body has sorted the troubles in REM sleep; a process our bodies do naturally every night.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing is a therapy also known as EMDR. This was used to treat trauma, but now it’s used to treat a variety of conditions, such as anxiety, depression, stress, and trauma. It can also be used to help ease chronic pain such as migraines for example. What would you like help with?
