Estefanie Ceballo

Hi! My name is Estefanie (she/her/hers), and I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. My job is to provide individuals with mental health care that helps with addressing problem areas in their life. I hope to work with you by listening to what current problems you identify and create a plan that could better assist with reducing them. The goal of therapy is to empower and provide support to individuals who are seeking help. In my role as a counselor, my approach is person-centered. I also utilize different counseling techniques including CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing.

I am Licensed both in New York (LMHC) and in New Jersey (Licensed Professional Counselor). I have studied and trained to assist individuals who are struggling with various mental health concerns; including Depression, Anxiety, parenting problems, ADHD, OCD and more. I currently have a Master’s degree in Education, with a concentration in both Mental Health Counseling (CUNY Hunter) and School Counseling (Alfred University). I also attended additional post graduate training programs at New York University and Hunter College and have been certified in the following areas; Trauma, Child and Family issues, as well as Trauma Focused CBT counseling. I am a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), a Certified Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapist (C-TFCBT ), and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP). With over seven years working as a therapist, and over ten years working in the Mental Health profession, I have worked on learning as much as I can to help individuals in need.

I hope to build a trusting relationship with you, where you will feel acknowledged, as well as comfortable with saying anything without the fear of being judged. To me, rapport with a client and having a great therapeutic relationship is the most important asset in therapy. I hope that we can work to together and develop that relationship.
