As a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Registered Play Therapist, having worked in a variety of private, non-profit and school settings, Erin offers her clients a diverse background and skill set. Erin specializes in anxiety and depressive disorders, learning differences, ADHD, general life adjustments, low self-esteem, parenting challenges, abuse, and domestic violence. Erin worked as an elementary school counselor for seven years and as a special education teacher for five years, so understands how mental health impacts academic performance. Erin enjoys working with adults, adolescents, children and families.
Erin specializes in play therapy, and strongly believes in the power of play. Children often struggle when trying to process their emotions, and verbalize feelings to others. Erin provides a safe, nonjudgmental environment where children can learn increased self-expression, enhanced self-respect and boundaries, problem solving, and improved self-control.
Utilizing genuineness, empathy, and unconditional acceptance, Erin will create an individually tailored plan, and integrate a variety of therapeutic techniques including Talk Therapy, Sand Tray Therapy, and Activity and Play Therapies. She looks forward to meeting you.
