Emily has extensive experience providing therapy and supportive services to individuals with anxiety, depression and other mood disorders, interpersonal and relationship issues, difficulty with stress management, trauma, coping with substance use, codependency, as well as life stage adjustments and transitions. Emily works with adults and older adolescents. In therapy sessions, Emily tailors her treatment to the individual depending on their unique needs. Some of the modalities Emily utilizes with her clients include: Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness techniques, Narrative Therapy, DBT techniques, Trauma informed treatment, Motivational Interviewing, Crisis Management.
Emily sees patients in person in her office in the heart of Union Square, as well as virtually ("Tele-therapy") through appropriate HIPAA compliant video software which ensures privacy. In most cases, Emily prefers to schedule a brief 15 minute phone consultation prior to confirming the initial session to answer any preliminary questions and learn a little more about the client to determine if it might be a good fit.
