As we try to figure out who we are and what we want out of life, we can feel burdened by the expectations of other people, stifling our true identities so we can more easily move through life. You deserve better - a space where you can be exactly who you are and become exactly who you want to be, in a way that makes you feel seen and validated. My aspiration is to be exactly the kind of therapist my generational peers and I would have needed in our formative years. A therapist who is solution-focused, real, nonjudgmental, will call you on your BS (gently!), and genuinely cares about your success.
I take a holistic approach to therapy, leaning heavily on the teachings of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Therapy is not "one size fits all," and I enjoy getting creative to ensure that you have all of the tools you need to live the life you want. My treatment specialities include eating disorders and BPD.
As a member of the community, I am LGBTQIA+ affirming, and my office is a safe space for all who are exploring their sexuality, gender identity, and sexual interests. I am sex-positive, polyamory- and kink-friendly, and can provide a validating environment for all who practice or are interested in non-traditional relationship styles and structures.
