Eli Ryp is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with extensive experience working with adolescents from all backgrounds, in various settings from inpatient psychiatric hospitals to outpatient mental health clinics. She was psychotherapist and manager of a satellite clinic, providing individual, family & group psychotherapy as well as a program manager and clinician for a Court-Involved Youth program at Children's Aid Society, providing services to juvenile delinquents in Harlem & the Bronx.
Being personable and energetic, Eli has also devoted time to volunteering her services in places as diverse as a South African orphanage, and locally in the tri-state area as an on-call clinician and mental health consultant for community crises.
Eli has considerable experience working with clients from culturally diverse backgrounds, including the Orthodox Jewish community where she has focused her attention on the at-risk adolescent & young adult population.
Eli's treatment modalities are solution-oriented and include CBT, DBT, MI, Interpersonal & Trauma-Focused therapies among others. With her background as a professional musician & dancer, Eli also incorporates creative expression, movement, & music where appropriate.
