Headway

Dr. Kimmy Ramotar

I take an empathic and supportive approach to therapy by establishing a safe space for my clients to uncover and explore painful emotions. Whether you’re experiencing chronic stress, feeling anxious or depressed, together we will identify goals for therapy. I tailor treatment to meet the specific needs of every client—with the aim of helping the client develop new skills, enhance self-awareness, foster positive change, and increase overall satisfaction and well-being. My specialized training includes both cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and psychodynamic treatment.

My specialties include the treatment of depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, phobias, interpersonal/relationship issues, selective mutism, and behavioral problems in children and adolescents. I've also had extensive training in working with individuals who have experienced a wide range of traumatic events, including those grappling with loss and grief.

I'm a Licensed Clinical Psychologist trained to work with children, adolescents, and adults. Whether you're looking for individual, couples, or family therapy, you may contact me for a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation.
