Everything that happens to us gets experienced through both the body and the mind. Emotions, beliefs, past experiences, and trauma get stored in our physical bodies as well as our mental bodies. I am a firm believer in the mind-body connection and the profound healing that comes from integrating both. It is my belief that every individual possesses the innate ability to heal themselves. However, we all need guidance to help us along this path of healing, self-discovery, and self-acceptance so that we can learn and grow from our experiences.
I provide a nonjudgmental environment for you to give voice to your story. I offer concrete tools and skills for you to utilize both in and out of therapy. By working with unhelpful thought patterns and beliefs that may be consciously or unconsciously held, we are able to create shifts in thinking, feeling, and behavior that lead to a happier you.
My therapeutic approach involves drawing from various theories, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Mindfulness, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) I have been providing counseling and therapeutic services for the past 9 years. I am also a registered yoga teacher (RYT 500).
