Great to meet you!
I have practiced in hospital, health, and clinical settings for over 25 years and have specialized in the areas of Conflict Mediation, Forensic, Substance Abuse, Early Intervention, and Trauma along the way. As a Latinx practitioner-researcher and writer, I am dedicated to client-centered and evidence-based care. Much of my work has used an intersectional lens to examine those liminal spaces that are sites of both pain and possibility.
A bit about my approach to therapy
I am a Humanist (Rogers, Maslow) committed to creating and holding space where the change you envision may be safely explored. By building rapport and trust we identify collaboratively our area of work and the tools, techniques, and practices that align with you and your current needs and environment. Free initial phone consultations are available by request.
What you can expect from our first session
What you take away is as limitless as your own potential! I want you to be heard and seen while equipping you with a new insight or tool that is easy to apply. "Homework" runs the gamut and often includes journaling, artwork/crafting, bibliotherapy, practicing a new protocol, or just saying "no" without further elaboration.
