Everyone can benefit from therapy! We all have a story to tell, and life just feels hard sometimes. It's never just one thing that causes us to begin looking for help and it can be easy to lose sight of our strength and resilience when we are overcome with stress, shame, or doubt. Whether you are anxious, depressed, experiencing a major life transition, or struggling in a relationship, therapy can provide a wonderful opportunity to find meaning and relief as you cope with life's challenges. It takes courage to ask for help. Regardless of what brought you here, together we can work to solve the problems you feel are holding you back. With over 10 years of experience in a variety of medical and agency settings in New York, my areas of interest and specialty include grief, trauma, and anxiety-related difficulties. I work extensively with those who have experienced trauma and are seeking to release the emotional chaos it has brought their lives. I work with clients to ground and regulate to decrease anxiety before moving into deeper trauma-focused work. The goal is to turn down the noise that distracts you and makes you feel stuck so you can focus on what’s meaningful and fulfilling in your life. I utilize a variety of evidence-based therapeutic techniques that are tailored to your unique needs and history which includes CBT and EMDR Therapy. In addition to individual therapy, I offer family therapy, couples therapy and group therapy, all of which offer additional opportunities for growth. If you're reading this, it means you have already taken the first step toward wellness: you've begun the search for the right therapist for you. If you are interested in talking more about individual, family/couples or group therapy, please contact me for a free phone consultation.
