Great to meet you!

My name is DeAnna, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Registered Play Therapist-SupervisorTM, and Board Certified Case Manager. I have over 30 years of experience in the field of social work; the past 25 years have been as a therapist, supporting a diverse population.

I live in Northern Virginia and enjoy spending time outside, using the five senses to connect with nature (unless, of course, I smell a skunk or see a snake).

A bit about my approach to therapy

I am person-centered and help others to utilize their strengths to address any problem.

There is a Kenyan proverb that reads, "Every door has its own key." ~ you already have the key ~ my job is to simply provide support and guidance, while you try out the different doors.

What you can expect from our first session

My primary goal is to see the world through your lens, so we can work collaboratively toward your desired outcome.

"Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it is about learning to dance in the rain." ~ Vivian Greene

Rather than being tossed around during life’s storms, let's do a little creative problem-solving! Our work is complete when you leave me in the dust to boldly take on the storm.

DeAnna's style is

Empowering
Open-minded
Humorous
