I believe therapy is a collaborative process with the therapist and client working together for positive change. The client is the expert on their life and the therapist can bring perspective and expertise on ways to work together in dealing with challenges and finding clarity on how to move toward wellness. I am a licensed clinical social worker and have been a trauma-informed therapist for over 25 years. I obtained my Master of Social Work degree from the University of Georgia. I bring a wealth of experience in treating adults dealing with chronic pain, anxiety, trauma, and depression. I am experienced in working with people who have experienced trauma impacting the ability to enjoy life in the present and assisting them to move forward with an improved ability to enjoy life. I especially enjoy helping others find their voice as they become empowered, more confident, and clear about what they want and need to reach goals and find joy in life. I use a variety of modalities including CBT, DBT and EMDR from a client-centered and strength-based perspective which are tailored to meet individual needs toward achieving wellness.
