"Be careful of the stories you tell about yourself, or those others tell about you because eventually, those stories can live you.”
My practice is rooted in creating a safe and trusting environment so we can unpack the prevalence of the problem you may be struggling with in your life. People are not the problem, the problem is the problem and I seek to provide room from which you can view the problem as something outside of you that is impacting your life, not as a deficiency within yourself.
I believe that you as a unique human are the expert in your life. The problems we struggle with seek to define and marginalize our identities as humans. The power that various problems seek to have in our lives can leave us feeling lost, helpless, and alone. Counseling can be a great place to begin to separate our identities from our struggles, where the problem does not get to define us as unique humans. My goal is to join you in this process and support the creation of a new identity and counterstory, where the problem no longer gets to hold the mirror from which your reflections are seen
