Most of us experience some level of trauma in our lives. Trauma can encompass anything from being bitten by a dog, bullying, or going through a divorce to sexual abuse, death of a loved one or emotional neglect. The effects of trauma, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, mood disorders, suicidal thoughts and dysfunctional relationships, can be debilitating. Healing from trauma IS possible. I work with clients to increase insight and reduce symptoms, which in turn helps clients get unstuck, improve self-esteem and process phase of life transitions smoothly. The ultimate goal is to have you engaged in life at your most optimal level.
Certified in EMDR and trained in CBT and IFS, I also incorporate art and sand tray therapy. I help develop healthy coping skills and incorporate meditation to provide balance to the deep therapeutic work. I have helped many clients heal from trauma and associated symptoms as well as develop assertiveness, stress-reduction and anger management skills.
