My belief is that challenging those negative thoughts at their onset is the best line of defense to keep you from reinforcing the negative thought pattern.
When traumatic events occur, the mind can cause flashbacks or images that can impact every day living. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) that helps you reprocess the experience in a way that allows healing while being in total control.
I obtained therapeutic experience working in both an inpatient mental health facility and a private practice setting with various acuity levels. I have counseled diverse backgrounds and all age groups ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics. If life has become too overwhelming, I would love to help you transition back to a sense of happiness.
