Corie sees therapy as a journey toward the life her clients seek for themselves. Her style is compassionate and collaborative, and she brings a calm curiosity to the therapeutic relationship. Since earning her Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin, she has worked with clients of all ages in diverse mental health settings, including as a crisis counselor in a psychiatric emergency clinic, a school mental health specialist, a grief counselor and hospice worker, as well as an ongoing group and individual therapist.
Corie incorporates a variety of treatment modalities to assist with issues including grief and loss, relationship and family concerns, substance use, trauma, adjustment, personality disorders, and major mental health diagnoses. Corie strives to provide an environment of respect and appreciation for each individual, and is committed to maintaining an atmosphere of openness and safety.
