I specialize in working with young through middle aged adults who have been dealing with a range of issues: anxiety, depression, relationships, mood disorders, natural transitions (e.g.marriage, career changes), substance abuse, and trauma. During my 17 years of experience, I have worked with clients of diverse backgrounds. My therapeutic work is a combination of psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral approaches applied to individualized, interactive therapy. I am a graduate of Yale College and the Columbia University School of Social Work. In addition, I have postgraduate training in Psychoanalytic Theory.
I offer a "safe," welcoming environment in which I build a rapport with each client based on empathy and compassion. Through working with clients on creating greater self-awareness, building self -esteem, and overcoming obstacles, I help them recognize and change ingrained behavioral patterns in an effort to navigate more optimally through daily life.
Helping individuals develop and increase connections, in both therapy and in the outside world, is a key component of successful treatment. I maintain a high level of commitment to clients in their journeys through personal growth. Please call, e-mail, or text me to arrange an initial consultation.
