We are all striving to be happy and free from suffering. However, we often find ourselves far from our ideal lives, or even at a loss for what our ideal life would look like. Sometimes our emotions might be so strong that fear, anger, sadness or shame begin to be driving forces in behavior and choices. We might lose sight of our own identify. This pain, however, can be transformed into awareness, insight, compassion, hope and joy. Through the process of therapy, we will explore your experience, your truth, and begin the process of healing both old and new emotional wounds. I offer an eclectic approach of evidence based practices including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, somatic based practices, mindfulness practices and motivational interviewing. I specialize in helping individuals work through experiences with depression, anxiety, borderline personality disorder, substance use disorders and life transitions.
