Professionally, I am a licensed mental health counselor based out of Rochester, New York, who provides individual, couples, family, and group counseling to a variety of age groups with dozens of various issues. My specialty areas are: perinatal mood disorders (pre and post partum anxiety and depression, OCD, bipolar disorders, and psychosis), transgender issues, and adolescent mental health.

I have extensive experience working with children and adolescents as a therapist in various schools both in Rochester, NY and Columbus, OH. I have worked at a grief camp for bereaved children and adolescents, and have volunteered at psychiatric inpatient units for this age group. I also worked with the Child Protective Services system as an investigative caseworker.

I have experience providing therapy to adults through the Ohio State Medical Center and as a volunteer at the Spiritus Christi Mental Health Center

Personally, I was born and raised in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania region and, after briefly attending Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio, obtained my bachelor's (B.A. in psychology) from Chatham College. I then moved to Columbus, Ohio and received an M.A. in Counselor Education (clinical mental health counseling track) from The Ohio State University. I've had the opportunity to study conflict resolution in Haifa, Israel and indigenous women's health issues in Guatemala. I live in the Finger Lakes area of NY with my partner, children, cats, dogs, and chickens.
