Great to meet you!
As a fourth-generation military veteran, I served in the United States Army Honor Guard in the Washington D.C. area and as an officer deployed to Iraq. My wife Kellie and our three children have continued lovingly supporting me throughout these endeavors. I enjoy working with clients who come from diverse cultural backgrounds. My gift is that I am always present and transparent.
A bit about my approach to therapy
I am a no-BS mental health professional. My passion is to work alongside you as you move closer to the ideal version of yourself. I understand that your motivation may be lacking. I know that you may need help finding initiative. Additionally, I am a kink-friendly provider able to assist BDSM, polyamorous, and other lifestyle relationships. I understand your experiences and love working to improve interpersonal dynamics through effective communication.
What you can expect from our first session
Change is not easy but it is possible. You will be held accountable, challenged, and coached. I have worked with psychotic disorders and those considered at risk of emotional crisis or suicidality. My research focused on various special populations, including domestic violence survivors and military veterans. I have a background in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and problem-solving.
